Proofreading

– checking errors and typos and ensuring that copy corrections have been implemented. (more)

Fees: from £19.25 per hour

Copy editing

– from making minor revisions to carrying out intricate changes and re-writes. (more)

Fees: from £20.75 per hour for light editing; from £26.00 for substantial editing and rewriting

Copy-editing for students

CES offers a special rate for students involved in writing theses, dissertations and reports. (more)

Fees: from £6.00 per 1,000 words.

– specialist editing and proofing of existing and prospective websites. (more)

Copywriting

The fees quoted above are based on the scale of fees recommended by the Society for Editors and Proofreaders and the National Union of Journalists and are for guidance only.

Turnaround time

The turnaround time for your job will be discussed and negotiated with you and will be taken into account when providing an estimate. If you require a job to be completed urgently CES will charge a supplementary flat fee of £40 in addition to the fee estimated.
